Aerosmith made their MA stop on their latest tour and invited Boston faves The Dropkick Murphys along to open the show. You can check out some of my photos posted on The Boston Phoenix website here. Aerosmith was on my short list of bands I wanted to shoot before my shooting days came to an end so it was very exciting for me!’
Summer concert season is here! Wahoo! This is my favorite time of the year to be a concert photographer because there’s just so much going on, it’s a very exciting time! I kicked off the season setting the bar pretty high with the NINJA tour featuring Nine Inch Nails, Janes Addiction and Street Sweeper Social Club. I had never shot Janes before and I’m a huge Dave Navarro fan so needless to say I was a happy camper. You can check out the full galleries here.
All of the landscape views are in the gallery because they don’t really fit well in my blog so please check them out!
I teamed up with FriendsorEnemies.com to shoot the “Believers Never Die Part Deux” tour which was the combined forces of Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, All Time Low, Metro Station and Hey Monday…in other words, a whole lot of fun!!! You can check out my photos on their site here or on TheyWillRockYou.com.
So I was able to collaborate with the good people over at AOL Music and their Metal site Noisecreep during this year’s New England Metal and Hardcore Fest. You can check out their coverage and some of my photos here.
The Fame Ball Tour featuring headliner Lady Gaga along with The White Tie Affair, Cinema Bizarre and Chester French folled into Boston’s House of Blue’s for a sold out show. It was a fun one to shoot…
Anyone who knows me knows that Butch Walker is my favorite performer, songwriter, music visionary of all time. When he returned to Boston in March everything just felt right!
I know I know, I never update here. Sorry, it’s been busy, but…you can check out the latest issue of Rocknation online now here. Or, pick up a physical copy at your local music store! You can check out my interviews with Papa Roach, George Lynch, Hinder, Rev Theory as well as photos of all of them and Metallica.
My friends are pretty passionate about OK Go, and with good reason…they’re a great band. I was never quite as into them as they were but I think this last tour has me hooked. They played a bunch of East Coast shows that had us going from Brooklyn, NY to Northampton, MA to Boston, MA (okay I missed that one) and then Portland, ME…so not only did we get to see a bunch of great shows, we managed to make a road trip of it!
Check out some of the photo galleries from the show……there was a lot of confetti! (Click a photo to go to the full gallery or check them all out here: www.photos.theywillrockyou.com.)
Slipknot returned to North America to open up their All Hope Is Gone Headlining Tour, along for the ride were Coheed & Cambria and Trivium. I shot the show on February 6th in Lowell, MA at Tsongas Arena. Slipknot is one of my favorite bands to shoot. Even though there is so much going on at once and it’s pretty much an assault to the senses it’s always fun and the results are usually some great shots - I’ll let you be the judge! I guess you could say I started the year off with a bang. Metallica - Seriously, need I say more. Metallica represents a lot of my youth to me. I still remember the day that my friend Danielle played me the Garage Days Re-Revisited cassette, that was the beginning. It was our first taste of Metallica but just the beginning. It’s kind of hard to flash forward to 20 plus years later and to be standing in a photo pit inches away from them trying to capture the moment as “Harvester of Sorrow” was reverberating through my body. I savored it. I shot the show for The Pulse Magazine. You can check out my full gallery here.
